Independent Testing Confirms GoBe Measures Calorie Intake Accurately
It’s official: GoBe is the only way to automatically measure calorie intake, nutritional intake, and calories burned—more accurately than manual tracking! Only GoBe uses FLOW Technology to combine measurements from three sensors (an impedance sensor, a pressure sensor, and an accelerometer) with an advanced algorithm to analyze your body’s changing glucose concentrations, giving you a complete picture of your calorie and nutritional intake over time—through your skin, with no manual logging of meals or activities.
GoBe is The Most Accurate Way to Measure Calorie Intake
Independent researchers at the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Health’s Medical and Sports Clinic put GoBe to the test, and found that the Original 100% Automatic Body Manager™ measures calorie intake, nutritional intake, and calories burned with an accuracy rate of 84-93%.
Previous research has shown that manual calorie intake tracking is only 40-70% accurate, mainly due to errors, estimation, and inaccurate food labels. Because GoBe uses your body’s own information to measure calorie intake, it provides unparalleled accuracy—with none of the hassles of weighing food or manually logging meals in an app.
Testing the GoBe Body Manager’s Calorie and Nutritional Intake Measurement
Here’s how the independent tests worked:
- Five volunteers wore GoBe and ate typical meals for five days.
- Researchers calculated the calorie and nutritional content of the volunteers’ meals by weighing the ingredients, using standard nutritional charts, and recording food labels of prepared foods.
- These calculations were compared with the automatic calorie and nutritional intake insights provided by the GoBe app.

Testing the GoBe Body Manager’s Calorie Burn Measurements
During the tests, researchers also calculated each volunteer’s resting metabolic rate and total calories burned according to body weight, height, age, gender, and physical activity level. Calories burned according to these calculations were compared to automatic insights provided by the GoBe app.

GoBe is The Only Way to Automatically Measure Calorie Intake, and More
According to the St. Petersburg research team, the testing results show that the GoBe body manager measures calorie intake within an average error rate of 15.6%. This result was consistent for all volunteers, over the entire testing period of five days.
The test results also show that the GoBe body manager measures calories burned during routine activity within an average error rate of 6.6%.
What’s Next for GoBe?
We’re ramping up to ship thousands of GoBe body managers to our Indiegogo supporters beginning September 22, and taking orders for the next shipment on our website. In the meantime, we’re planning the next round of independent tests in the U.S., and we can’t wait for the results!
