Healbe GoBe Advancements to Look Out for in 2016

We kicked off 2016 with a lot of exciting news – the retail partnership with Sports Authority’s online store, GoBe’s integration with Withings scales, the CES 2016 showcase – and we plan to continue with this momentum throughout the year!

Over the next few months there are some major developments that we plan to implement for GoBe. Here are some of the exciting new improvements you can look out for this year:

1. Calorie Intake Measurement

We plan to release several firmware updates, including algorithm improvements for calorie intake measurement. We’re also working on developing adjustments and design changes for the Healbe GoBe app including a new meal history interface, which will simplify the way you confirm meal time periods. These updates and advancements will help you measure individual meals much more easy.

2. Calories Burned Measurement

Along with improved calorie intake measurement, the team will also be making updates to help better measure calories burned. These algorithm improvements will recognize physical movements and better register cardio activity.

3. Sleep Function

Starting this early spring, you’ll begin to see many changes regarding GoBe’s sleep functionality and tracking. Updates will be made to the mobile application as well as to the algorithm that analyzes your quality of sleep. The app will share your sleep information in a much clearer, and more stylish interface.

New parameters will be introduced to better share your sleep data as well as provide recommendations for future night’s rest. Based on whether you were disturbed or woken up, the app will share a reading of sleep quality. Your sleep efficiency will also be displayed – comparing your time laying in bed to the time you spent asleep.

4. Heart Rate Tracking

You can also expect to see improvements in GoBe’s heart rate tracking. Our team’s goal is to improve heart rate measurements while resting and during physical activities.

5. Pedometer Tracking

The Healbe team is looking to improve the GoBe pedometer. Problems you may have had in the past, like steps counted while sitting due to active hand movement, will no longer be registered. The upcoming updates will also better calculate steps taken on soft surfaces, like carpeting.

6. User-Friendliness

Lastly, we’ve successfully resolved a variety of hardware and software bugs. Some users had experienced contact issues where GoBe would indicate “no contact,” resulting in missed data. Thanks to feedback from our users, we’ve successfully fixed this problem!

All of these enhancements and updates will be supported by major mobile app design improvements. Our goal is to continue providing you with comprehensive data about your whole-body health, while offering recommendations on how to interpret what these readings mean and how you can achieve a healthy internal balance.
